Rhondda Arts Festival

Hello,

I’m getting in touch about the upcoming Rhondda Arts Festival, Treorchy.  Taking place on Ystradfechan Field, Treorchy on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June, there’s a weekend of live music and song, theatre, comedy, cinema, dance and more on offer – plus plenty for children to enjoy. With other events in the week running up too, it’s going to be an incredible week of bilingual live performance with many performers being from our community.

Tickets start from as little as £4 (under 3s are free!) and you can get them here https://www.raft.cymru/

Dates: 25th – 30th June, 2024
The Big Weekend: 28th – 29th June, 2024
Weekend tickets – £15 / £7.50 / under 3s free
Day tickets – £7.50 / £4 / under 3s free

This is a great opportunity for our young people to experience high quality art and culture right on their doorstep, and we want to make sure as many people know about it as possible.

Teulu Cymru – Childcare and support for families

Teulu Cymru

Childcare and support for families

Earlier this week, the Welsh Government launched Teulu Cymru, a new brand which brings its main childcare and parenting campaigns under one roof.

Teulu Cymru or “Family of Wales,” is here for parents, carers and families of children aged 0-18, pointing them in the right direction for different Welsh Government sources of practical and financial support.

From parenting tips and expert development advice, to help with childcare costs – Teulu makes it a little easier to access this support in one place.

Message for all parents

This February half term RCT Multiply will be hosting some free family fun events for parents and their children living in RCT.

We would really appreciate it, if you could share the attached posters with parents at your school. These sessions are particularly aimed at parents who have a current numeracy level below that of GCSE grade C, as part of the Multiply initiative.
