Dear Parent/Carer,
Re: School Meal Prices 2025/26
At a Cabinet meeting held on 22nd January 2025, a decision was taken to increase pupil school meal prices for the financial year 2025/2026. Therefore, with effect from Tuesday 1st April 2025 the new prices will be as follows:-
• Primary – £2.95 (only applicable to part-time nursery pupils not eligible for Universal Primary Free School Meals as they are not in full-time Education)
• Secondary – £3.20
Catering Services offer healthy and nutritious food at breakfast and lunchtime. Menus are available on the Council’s web site. We can also cater for medically prescribed dietary requirements if supported by the appropriate medical evidence from a registered medical practitioner or dietitian. Please complete the online application form on the Council’s website Medically Prescribed Dietary Requirement | Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council.
The food and drink provided in schools can make a positive contribution towards giving children and young people a healthy balanced diet and encourages them to develop good eating habits.
If your child(ren) does not receive Free School Meals and you think they may be entitled, please complete the online application form on the Council’s website Free School meals – Apply for free school meals | Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. Only by making a successful application for Free School Meals will you be eligible to automatically receive other support for your child(ren).
